This gun is a really good gun solid powerful it also comes with cool attachments like a scope, laser light, holding handle, and a flash light. Just because the price is low does not mean it is a bad gun. I enjoy playing with it. Do not save up for a expensive gun because it is a great price for a great gun.

p.s. there are two types of gun one called A2 and B2. The A2 has a M4 Carbine stock, and the other is a M16 stock.

This gun is FABULOUS!!! IT looks SUPER sick and works great. I've had it for a month and notin but awesome. Its fps is ok and hurts some of the time depending on where you get hit. It comes with a ton of attatchments and all work really good. The accuracy is really good but only with .20 bb's. if you use .12 they go 50 ft. then completly curve to the side. The only thing that you deffinetly have to upgrade is the mag. It only holds 45 bb's at a time and when i tested it' it ran out in 6 to 7 sec. Overall, buy .20 bb's with purchase (cause it only comes with 100) and buy a hi cap mag as soon as you can or you will lose in a war' BADLY. In the end, i am truly loving it and do suggest you buy.

I enjoyed receiving this rifle after Christmas as a gift to my self. I read up about this rifle and was pleased with the reviews about the gun. From fast shipment, great qualities about the gun, and also that it was electric and came with awesome features. These reviews were all correct and I am pleased with my air soft rifle. It is very accurate, the hop up is installed in the gun and can be turned on or off, I use it with it off since I play close combat situations and run straight up to people and hit them hard. The gun has great FPS, and also cool features: laser, red dot sight, tactical flashlight, and also removable sights and other equipment on the gun the battery also is very powerful! I look forward to using this gun for a while I also have a gas pistol to go along with this rifle and they work perfectly together in combat! awesome stuff and look forward to maybe purchasing more equipment from them! Overall great gun, great people respond fast to email, and also great customer service! Please purchase from them if looking for a great backyard gun and maybe indoor arena or indoor field play as well! AWESOME GUN next gun will be even sweeter!

Hey,this was the first gun I bought and I thought it was pretty cool it comes with a lot of accessories and is pretty powerful. The only downfall to the gun is that the clip's are custom which means they cost about $10 per clip that only holds 45 bbs and the battery runs out after about 20 clips, (It uses a 7.2V Ni-Cd batterie)It is made fully out of plastic also. If you looking for a backyard airsoft gun this is it.

This gun is very good! It shoots at a decent speed and it is very accurate for a certain distance until it starts to curve(I don't know the distance, but I would say at least as long as the average backyard, if not more). This gun should be wonderful for backyard wars(haven't got to battle with it yet). I thought I would need a more powerful gun, but I realized that nobody would want to play with me if I kept shooting them with a really powerful gun at short distances. The hop up works extremely well. I can aim the gun down (no more than an angle of 45 degrees) and the BB's still curve up enough so it doesn't hit the ground(because of the hop up). The only thing I don't like about the gun is that the barrels are made of cheap plastic and can break off the gun easily. When my friend was playing with it, he accidentally hit me with the barrel and it snapped off. I fixed it with superglue and heavy duty tape though. The seller, Airsoft Central, is awesome and I give them a 5 out of 5! Overall, this gun is probably the best gun you could get for the price for backyard wars. It is defiantly my gun of choice(for backyard wars of course ;)]!

The Double Eagle M83 is the best entry level M-4A1 available.

With .12 gram BBs it is fairly accurate in 5 round bursts. It shoots around 230fps to 260fps which is plenty if you wait for a target to get in range or are playing CQC. .12s are nice because they are very cheap, but they lack stopping power and can't cut through brush at all. They are extremely safe though, so if you are a parent buying for a younger child, this gun is a great way to get your kid a safe airsoft gun that they will enjoy and and also have them learn the ropes of basic airsoft safety.

In a pro-match you wont have a prayer in an open environment but in basic backyard wars, this gun holds it's own and is superior to other entry level weapons.

The construction is plastic and the iron sights twist a significant amount when you apply pressure to them but because you won't be engaging enemies at long range, this problem is not that big of a deal. The gun is very light and quick to the snap.

The fire-mode switch is plastic but easy to use and sturdier than other models I've seen. There is a secondary safety mechanism built into the main pistol grip (trigger unit) that requires you to be gripping the gun in order to fire. Placing the elastic band the gun comes with around the grip will cancel out this feature (which is what I did).

The accessories it comes with are okay, mostly for style. The laser pointer is very (seriously) bright but does not mount very straight on the rail. Mounting it on the bottom rail compensates for this but if you attach the gun strap it will block the laser beam. The forward pistol grip is plastic but it does the job and looks great. I was worried about over twisting the barrel unit by applying too much pressure on the pistol grip. The gun is light enough to not need the grip so I decided not to use it. I do not like the red cross (dot) sight it comes with but my friends do, it is a cheap scope that might normally cost 3 to 7 bucks. I decided to use a 10 dollar red dot sight that I bought separately (and can be easily transfered to new guns) instead. A red dot sight in conjunction with this weapons is very efficient. Do not bother mounting a scope with a zoom, this is an entry level gun and it's not accurate enough to make it worth putting that kind of sight on it.

The flash light is, eh... It's unsafe to play at night anyway.

The 2 plastic heat shields it comes with are great and cover the RIS rails you don't use so it's smoother on your hand. I think more guns should come with heat shields like this, it's a great and under-rated accessory.

Buy extra magazines, they are cheap and well worth it. The magazines are surprisingly sturdy and have never jammed or failed on me (and I own 6).

The battery lasts surprisingly long and although it can be a bit difficult accessing it, it is overall much better than other entry level batteries. The gear box is plastic so do not put .2gram BBs or heavier in it because you risk over stressing it. Try to avoid dry firing as well. If you treat the motor well it will last you a while.

The charging handle and forward assist do nothing and are locked in place. The hop up is located under the cartridge ejector which flips up and down. The suppressed barrel is great and provides backup for if something were to happen the main barrel.

Overall the Double Eagle M-4A1 gun is decent and fun to play with. If anything it looks and feels great. The price is very good as well. Don't waste your money an entry level weapons any more expensive than this, at that point it's worth getting a medium grade weapon with metal internals.

I bought this M83 for my son who was turning 13 and is enamored with military weaponry. He went bonkers when he opened the gift. It was his "dream gift".

The build is sturdy and the attachments all fit nicely. This is not a toy for little children though. It puts out a good, steady stream of fire and could be dangerous in the wrong hands.

I would've definitely given this gun a 5 if it were not for the slow shipping. That being said, let's talk about the gun itself.
I think that the rail guards that come with this gun is completely useless. The aim scope isn't good but it really isn't as bad as what alot of people wrote about it. I find it to be pretty good for target practicing, however do not use it in real battles. The laser pointer and the flashlight is pretty pointless. This gun was heavier than I thought it would be. I only got this gun today so I can't really judge it's durability, but know that the gun is fully plastic. The accuracy of this gun is pretty bad but is CQB's it'll be fine. One thing I find annoying is that the bb's get jammed really easily. Another minor problem is that the safety switch is labeled wrong. It is labeled on the left side when it's really on the right. I put the switch on the right side (where it says full-auto) and i almost broke the gun.
In summary:

-good weight
-pretty durable for a plastic body
-good fps
-awesome gun for it's price
cons:
-bb's get jammed pretty easily
-useless accessories
-no speed loader???
-SLOOOWWWWWWWW shipping

All in all, this gun is great for beginners and for CQB's. If you want a good gun just save your money and get a higher brand like an echo1 or CA, but don't get a Tokyo Mauri, totally not worth it. For those of you who say this gun sucks, well it's only 30 dollars, what do you expect?
